At the Trust’s recent Sub Committee Meeting in April, the Trustees awarded 45 grants totalling £33,950. They included:
- £500 to Surfers Against Sewage for the Ocean Camp education programme
- £500 to Muir Maxwell Trust for epilepsy bed alarms for children in the South West
- £500 to Merlin MS Centre for the respite care programme
- £500 to Island Trust for sailing trips for disadvantaged young people
- £500 to Sirona Therapeutic Horsemanship towards the costs of new stables at Dartington Hall
- £1,000 to CHICKS for a respite break for two disadvantaged children from Exeter/East Devon
- £3,000 to Exeter Dispensary & Aid in Sickness Fund for grants to individuals who are ill or in need
- £1,000 to Exeter Gateway Centre for activities for people with learning disabilities
- £500 to Devon Mammal Group for the Harvest Mouse Project
- £2,000 to Budleigh Salterton Lions Club to support the charity’s fundraising efforts throughout 2018
- £500 to Plymouth & District Mind towards providing a free counselling/listening service
- £500 to Children with Cystic Fibrosis Dream Holidays to provide a respite break for a Cornish family
- £1,000 to Brainwave Centre towards therapy costs for 28 children from Devon
- £1,250 to Reading List Foundation towards 5 scholarships in East Devon secondary schools
- £1,000 to Blue Cross towards the care and rehoming costs of cats at the Charity’s two centres in Devon
- £500 to Multiple Sclerosis Trust to support people with MS across Devon and Cornwall
