At the Trust’s recent Sub Committee Meeting in December, the Trustees awarded 32 grants totalling £38,578.  They included:

  • £1,000 to Young Enterprise for a project introducing students to the realities of work in Devon
  • £900 to Music in Hospitals and Care to provide 3 concerts within healthcare venues in Devon & Cornwall
  • £1,000 to Lifeworks Charity towards Kool Club, a Saturday youth group for young people with learning disabilities
  • £500 to Somerset Sight towards 6 courses for visually impaired people
  • £2,000 to Budleigh Salterton Chamber of Commerce towards the town’s Christmas lights
  • £2,000 to Devon in Sight towards the new Assistive Technology Service for people with sight loss in East Devon
  • £2,000 to Ivybridge & District Community Transport towards the purchase of a new accessible minibus
  • £1,000 to Independence at Home towards the purchase of specialist equipment and home adaptations for disabled people
  • £1,000 to Horticultural Therapy Trust towards sessions for people with mental health issues in Plymouth
  • £2,500 to WESC Foundation towards the purchase of a specialist eyegaze machine to help severely disabled students to communicate
  • £2,000 to Lions Club of Budleigh Salterton towards general costs
  • £2,500 to Bicton Parish Recreation Room towards essential building refurbishment works
  • £500 to Barnstaple Amateur Boxing Club towards new safety equipment
